Well, Bluefoxdigital.com is up and running. Hopefully this will be the start of something amazing. I have high hopes that this will take off and be something to base a company off of. Now that I have a site to help get me started, I want to earn alot of business as well as build a trusting and responsive reputation with all of my clients.
One thing that I notice about all web designers is that they charge an insane amount for a site that isn’t even close to sub par. I always shake my head when talking to people about thier website and designer. They tell me they were charged 5 grand, 6 grand, 4 grand, for a site that looks like it was done in frontpage. They know they got reamed from thier designer, but most people don’t know what to do. They just pay the designer and let it slide.
I’m done letting this happen.
I’m so sick and tired of seeing business men just blind in the fact on how much they are getting over charged. Alot of the time i hear designers say, “Sean? Sean…. Sean!” (it takes a while to get my attention) “Sean. Don’t you think you are charging too little for every site? I mean it’s not even worth it to make one for under 1,000. You are driving the market down for web design and you should die in a fire.”
This is what I find stupid. First off, it shouldn’t cost so much for a corporate site. I want you to have a site that’s professional for a low cost. We all know starting companies are suffering enough as it is. Second, every site is worth building, cheap or not. It’s an oppourtunity to open new horizons with companies as well as build more of a trust and possibly more people to refer to me for design.
So with that said, I want to let you all in on a tip to get some extra cash. I am offerring 100 dollars of whatever I make as a referrall fee to all of you reading this. If you email me with contact information to someone needing a site built, and they sign up with me, you get 100 bucks. It’s that simple. Be sure to keep this in mind for anyone needing a site.
Thanks for being a part of the beginning!
-Sean
