As days slowly pass, I realize that my hunger for a powdered jelly filled donut get worse and worse. I am starting to get into the rough part into my 40 day lifestyle change.

So I bought some lean pork with a little bit of marbled fat on the outside. I threw in some low sodium broth, and let it soak in its own juices over 8 to 10 hours.
With some steamed rice, I now have a meal that is juicy, tender, and easily packageable for further meals! I also made a little dessert: Grapes and apple slices. The videos came out pretty horrible, but just listen to the audio… Unless you want to make fun of my still frame faces.

So after a weekend of the same food, it kind of gotten old fast. I’m starting to look at things I CAN eat and just pigeon holing myself. Plus with little portions, I feel like I’m not enjoying my food. But there is hope. Check the vid.
I had this planned forever. And I was afraid. Since the start of my 40 day quest of no sweets or junk food, I’ve been worrying about friday nights and where I at out at. I’ve been so scared to actually eat out because I didn’t know what was going into my body and how much I should eat. So I actually came across a digg article with some helpful suggestions and put them into practice. Check the vid:
If you cant hear the video too well, in short, always ask the waiter questions like “what would you suggest for a healthy salad?” or if you prefer some grilled chicken, ask for triple the veggies. I’ve never heard a waiter turn down the offer or even make you pay more.
The next best thing is to ask the waiter how the food is prepared and or cooked. This is the best way to know if they fry it, or grill it. The last peice of advice is to take it in portions. 90% of the time, the resturaunt will give you 3 times the servings you should be eating. So always have a bit, and get a box.

Alright so as most of you know, I’m a graphic designer. Day in and day out of sitting at a desk, watching my body slowly turn into a skin bag of fat. BUT! With this 40 day quest, It’s been changing somewhat. And with moderate exercise, I feel that much better.
My endurance and stamina are through the roof compared to how I was a month back. Plus it seems that I’m burning more energy and my hunger pains are starting to disappear. And exercise doesn’t HAVE to be going to the gym, or running. it can be an alternative sport. For instance, jiujitsu:
